The oldest illusion in the room, made newly convincing. Aquafire builds a fire out of the two things fire has never been — water and light. An ultrasonic plate turns ordinary tap water into a cool, fine mist; LEDs light it from within; and what rises off the bed reads, for all the world, like flame — flickering, curling, catching the eye across a room. Their own three words say it best: all flame, no fire.

Because nothing actually burns, there is nothing to tend and nothing to fear. It runs on tap water and a standard wall outlet — no gas, no fuel, no flue, no fumes. And the flame is cool to the touch. You can pass your hand straight through it.

That single fact — no combustion — changes where a fire is allowed to live. With no chimney to run and no clearances to keep, Aquafire goes where a real fire never could: directly beneath a television, in a high-rise condominium, along a hallway, in a bedroom, in a restaurant or a hotel lobby, in a bright warm room where you'd never actually want the heat.

And it gives off no heat at all — which sounds like a shortcoming right up until the first warm evening, when it turns out to be the whole point. A real flame you can enjoy in July, in a room that's already comfortable. For placement, it is the most liberating fireplace we've shown since the Holographik® — and finding a way to put fire where fire could never go is precisely our idea of a Creative FireSpace™.

It is also, quietly, the most adjustable fire we sell. From a remote or your phone, you set the flame's height, its speed, its density — a calm, low burn or a lively one — and its colour, from a natural amber that passes for real fire to, on the Pro, more than thirty colours for something frankly theatrical.

And it scales. Pro and Original units can be joined end to end into a single unbroken ribbon of flame — up to forty feet of it — so the same technology that warms a small den can run the length of a feature wall or a bar. As intimate or as architectural as the room asks for.

Aquafire comes as a small family, each with its own reason to exist. The Original gives the most natural flame; the Pro adds dual-flame depth and the full range of colour; the Lite is the pared-back way in, starting compact at sixteen inches; and the Gatsby is a freestanding, luxury piece that asks for no renovation at all — set it down, fill it, plug it in.

Every one is built around clean water. Onboard UV-C treatment and softening keep the mist pure and the unit healthy even where the tap runs hard — so the fire stays as effortless in year five as it was on the first night.
