The lights are down, the stands have been packed away, and the Vancouver Convention Centre has gone quiet again. But the warmth of the past four days has stayed with us. The Interior Design Show Vancouver 2026 has come to a close, and before the season carries us forward, we want to pause and say thank you.

A trade show is, on paper, a few thousand square feet of floor and a handful of days. In practice, it is something much more personal: a room full of people who care about how spaces feel, standing in front of fire and asking good questions. That is exactly what we found at IDS this year, and it is the reason we will remember it.

To Stûv

First, to our friends at Stûv. For more than a decade we have carried your fireplaces, installed them, and told their story one home at a time. Seeing that story stand on its own at one of North America's leading design events was a genuine point of pride for our whole team. Thank you for the care that went into the display, for the craftsmanship that makes these fireplaces so easy to believe in, and for trusting Maxwell Fireplace to represent Stûv here on the West Coast. Our partnership has never felt stronger, and we are grateful for it.

To Everyone Who Stopped By

To every architect, interior designer, builder, and homeowner who took a moment to visit — thank you. Some of you came with a project already sketched out. Some of you came simply because a flame caught your eye from across the aisle. Many of you stayed longer than you planned, watching a firebox pivot, or leaning in to see how a Stûv is finished at the edges. Those conversations are the best part of any show, and there were more of them this year than we could have hoped for.

We were reminded, again and again, that the people of this city think carefully about their homes. You asked about placement and sightlines, about how a fire sits in a room rather than simply what it costs. That is the kind of conversation that leads to a true Creative FireSpace™, and we could not be more pleased to have had so many of them.

As our Territory Manager, Samuel is Maxwell Fireplace's own partner at Stûv, and I want to thank him personally. Shows like this do not simply come together; they are built, piece by piece, by people who care about getting the details right. Samuel's support leading up to and throughout IDS made all the difference — his knowledge of the product, his patience with every question, and his steady, good-humoured presence on the floor made the whole experience a pleasure for our team and for everyone who visited.

More than that, Samuel embodies what a great partnership feels like from the inside: someone who picks up the phone, who shows up, and who wants you to succeed. Thank you, Samuel. We are fortunate to work alongside you.

Our thanks as well to Mikael, who gave his time to IDS Vancouver well beyond his own territory. Mikael brought real warmth and expertise to the stand, sharing the story behind every firebox with the same care that goes into building them. Having him there made the Stûv presence at IDS feel complete, and we look forward to working together for many seasons to come.

Looking Ahead

If IDS left us with one feeling, it is anticipation. We met designers we look forward to collaborating with, homeowners at the very beginning of a renovation, and industry friends, old and new, who share our belief that a fireplace is an architectural decision rather than an afterthought. We look forward to turning those introductions into lasting relationships, and those relationships into rooms that people love to come home to.
